FAQ

Here you will find the most frequently asked questions about Cabinet Parts To Go, materials & craftsmanship, account setup & ordering information. If you still have further questions, please fill out our contact form and our customer service department will contact you in a timely manner.

What are your cabinet component parts made from?

All of our materials are sourced in the USA. We use Industrial Grade substrate vs commercial grade as it is stronger, more durable, and suitable for more demanding applications.

The tough TFL (thermally fused laminate) decorative panel or outer shell is PAINT FREE, durable, scratch resistant, heat-resistant, UV resistant, moisture-resistant,  stain resistant, and is less likely to wear over time making it a long-lasting, more durable, and affordable solution.

Are the door fronts painted?

We remove the arduous & costly task of painting doors with our Bridgeport Cabinets™ TFL doors & fronts. They come in a variety of color finishes and woodgrain-like textures and when purchasing replacement parts, you get that perfect color match every time! See our Doors Page for more information.

Do you offer drill and bore options?

We offer precision machining using European construction methods including: Confirmat Construction, Dowel Construction, RTA (Ready To Assemble), or KD (Knock Down) Construction.

Examples: boring for European hinges with or without dowels, drawer slides,  shelf pins, flipper doors as well as accessories such as baskets, pullout waste bins, Lazy Susan, LED lighting,  etc.

All customized options for Drilling and Boring are visible within our online shopping portal.

Can you bore for hinges and if so can you specify location?

When placing an order for doors you have the option to select hinges, the type of hinge, and a reference point measured to the center of the hinge cup.  Measurements can be provided in inches or millimeters and can indicate location at the top or bottom of the door.  Typical doors require two hinges up to 48" in height, three hinges 48-72" and 4 hinges 72-96"

When selecting the hinge option for doors greater than 48",  third and forth hinge position will need to be specified otherwise it will default to equal spacing.

For doors that are specified as flipper doors (swing up doors) we offer position boring using the all in one Hafele Free Space flipper door hardware. This unique hardware combines the hinge and lift mechanism in one unit.

When selecting hinges you'll need to specify the door overlay type and then select 1 of the 4 options: full overlay, half overlay, half - inch overlay or inset.

Doors that are specified as tilt down will use a typical euro hinge and need to indicate hinge position measured to the center of the hinge cup referenced in inches or millimeters.

Doors that are specified as drop down table will use a specific hinge designed to flush the back of the door with the fixed shelf surface. As such the door typically will fully overlay the fixed shelf leaving a 1.5mm reveal. This type of hinge requires boring a similar hinge cup hole in the fixed shelf as part of the two piece hinge design.  Additional hardware will be required to provide breaking and support holding the door flat at 180 degrees

Can you bore for handles/knobs?

Boring for handles or knobs requires you to have your hardware selected in advance to indicate the handle center to center hole spacing. (Knobs generally require one 5 mm but in some cases require two holes thus the importance of selecting hardware in advance).

For handles,  indicate horizontal or vertical positioning and reference x, y starting position as well as center to center spacing.

Knobs will generally require x, y position without having to indicate horizontal or vertical positioning. The exception are knobs that require two holes in which case a reference to vertical or horizontal positioning will be required.
